ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court has constituted a one-man Judicial Commission to probe the Lal Masjid incident, Dunya news reported.

 

A three-member bench headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry heard a petition filed against Lal Masjid tragedy.

 

The bench appointed senior judge of the federal shariat court Shahzad-ul-Sheikh to conduct the investigation and submit a report within 45 days.

 

Following the development, Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry remarked that investigators have failed to prove either those killed during operation in 2007 were terrorists or innoncent.
