Summary The PMA’s doctors continued their strike in Balochistan on 48th day for their demands.

QUETTA: The doctors’ continued their strike on Tuesday at government and private hospitals of the province.

The patients coming from far-flung areas face severe problems owing to the sustained strike; however, some doctors who parted ways from Paramedical Association, are performing their duties in the emergency wards of hospitals.

The PMA Balochistan President Dr. Sultan Tareen said the doctors would continue strike until the government pays up the money given as ransom to the abductors, clarifying that the government played no role in getting the abducted doctor released.

He demanded that the killers of the doctors be arrested, cases registered against protesting doctors be quashed and those responsible for registration of cases be brought to book, adding that health secretary should be sacked.
