Summary The Supreme Court of Pakistan Wednesday reserved verdict in Karachi voting lists case.
ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry in his remarks during the proceedings said that door-to-door verification of voters should be conducted in Karachi.
He said Karachi was the face of the country and if peace is not maintained in the city the national economy will be destroyed.
He said according to the constitution electoral lists should be prepared every year, adding that the apex court had received several complaints about the voters lists in Karachi.
The Chief Justice advised that the army may be used during the voter verification process in Karachi.
