Summary 300 million people may be affected by monsoon, says NDMA chairman
NDMA has predicted colossal floods which may affect about 300 million people in the country.During a media briefing in Islamabad National Disaster Management Authority Chairman Zafar Iqbal said that precautionary measures taken to cope with the expected floods were not satisfactory.He said that floods might bring havoc in districts of the Peshawar Upper, Lower Sindh, Charsadda, Nowshehra including Swat River, Kabul River.The chairman further said that Muzaffaragarh, Layya, Rajanpur, Rahimyar Khan, Khosab and Sargodha may be flooded during the heavy rains.
