Summary Rate of electricity has been raised by Rs 1.25 per unit.
Another bomb of inflation has been dropped on masses by rulers.According to a Nepra notification the rate of electricity has been increased by Rs 1.25 per unit. The new rate would be implemented with immediate effect.Consumers will have to pay additional amount from 70 paisas to Rs 2.12 per unit on utility bills.The current raise would not be implemented on the consumers whose consumption would less than 50 units.With the latest increase in the rate of electricity, the price of one unit would be approximately Rs 8.38.It is worth mentioning that the national revenue would be able to get Rs 90 billion yearly by virtue of the increased rate.
