Summary SC issues order to cancel bails of all the accused in Pakistan Steel Mills corruption case.
Announcing its verdict in the case on Wednesday‚ a three member bench of the Supreme Court headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry expressed dissatisfaction over the FIA probe into the Steel Mills case and ordered its handing over to National Accountability Bureau for further probe.The court in its ordered directed the Director General FIA to provide all the relevant record and documents relating to the scam to the Chairman NAB.The apex court further directed NAB Chairman to supervise the entire investigation and determine the accusation against the individuals responsible for such losses and misappropriation including negligence.It directed Chairman NAB to complete investigation within three months and file fortnightly performance report with the Registrar office of the apex court.The court directed NAB to ensure immediate and stringent steps for the recovery of looted amount and arrest the accused who have been declared absconder or who may be found involved in the scam. It also ordered for the cancellation of bails of the culprits.
