Summary SC has rejected the plea to change the officer probing charges against PMs son Ali Musa Gilani.
The three-member bench of the Supreme Court headed by the Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammed Chaudhry heard the case about illegal allotment of the chemical quota.The investigation officer Brigadier Fahim informed the court that he gave the names of the accused to be put on the ECL, but no action was taken and two accused have escaped abroad. The FIA was also exerting pressure on him to save Khushnood Lashari, he added.Justice Khilji asked Brig Fahim to continue investigation in a transparent manner. Another investigation officer informed that an employee of the Health Department Tanveer Ahmed was held hostage when statement was recorded.The apex court sought this complaint in writing and said the FIA and those who held the employee hostage will be issued notices.
