SC wants recovery of missing persons: CJP

A three-member bench headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry resumed the hearing of Balochistan missing persons case on Monday.IG FC and IG Balochistan appeared before the court.The CJP during his remarks said that there is no use of appearance of IG FC and IG Balochistan in the court if the missing persons are not released. He said that the SC is only interested in the recovery of missing persons. He said the CCTV footage shows that a man had been picked up by FC officials in uniforms riding the FC van.IG FC told the court that some people in FC uniforms abduct other people.Upon this, the Chief Justice said the police statement says that it was an FC van. He said 95% think that FC were behind the disappearance of missing persons.Justice Khilji Arif Hussain said the relationship of respect and regard was fading between the military institutions and the masses and when this relationship ends then the lawlessness spreads in the society.Justice Jawad S Khawaja said we understand the grief and sorrows of the parents of missing persons. We have to abide by the law he remarked.
