Addressing a gathering of police officers at Qila Gojar Singh Police Lines, Inspector General of Punjab Police Haji Habib-ur-Rehman said the police officers and employees should stay away from corruption.He said Lahore police was showing negligence in tackling crime in the city.Habib said appointment in police department on political grounds has been stopped. He directed that the police officials should reject all unfair recommendations even forwarded by the IG.He said good natured women would be appointed at the reporting rooms established at the police stations while a modern tracking system would be introduced within a month to control the vehicles’ theft incidents.
