Summary Attorney general says the bench has given a ruling in violation of article 25 of the constitution.
Addressing media outside Supreme Court, attorney general termed the verdict as unconstitutional. He said the verdict is in contradiction to many provisions of the constitution.Attorney general said that the court ruling has deviated from article 248(1) and 248 (2) of the constitution.Furthermore, he said the court doesn’t have the authority to declare PM ineligible, adding that National assembly has this discretion and it can only be exercised if the speaker takes notice.
