President calls coalition parties meeting today

President Asif Ali Zardari has summoned a meeting of the coalition parties at Aiwan-e-Sadr today to discuss the strategy regarding the Supreme Court decision in the contempt of court case against Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani.The PPP leadership has also decided to form two separate committees to review the political and legal aspects regarding the PM contempt case. The members of the committees would be assigned their responsibilities today.The legal committee would chalk out a strategy on legal issues in the light of SC’s decision while the political committee would adopt a political strategy regarding the decision.On the other hand, the Federal Cabinet will meet again on Thursday to review the expected decision of SC in PM contempt case.Governors of all provinces and three chief ministers have also been invited in this important meeting.In Wednesday’s meeting of the Federal Cabinet, it was decided that the cabinet members would accompany the Prime Minister on the occasion of his appearance in the Supreme Court however the coalition partners have been given free hand to in this regard.The Supreme Court will announce the decision of contempt of court case against Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani on Thursday.
