Nadeem Afzal Chan selected as PAC chairman

The PAC on Wednesday met in parliament house and selected MNA of PPP from Sargodha Nadeem Afzal Chan as its new chairman.Chan has been selected as PAC chairman after the resignation of previous PAC’s chairman Chaudhry Nisar Ali Kahn.Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Syed Khurshid Shah said it was decided in the Charter of Democracy that the PAC chairman would be selected from the opposition and the PPP government gave the PAC chairmanship to Opposition Leader Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, however, he resigned from the office due to certain reasons.Khurshid Shah added that the PPP had also written a letter to Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and sought his suggestions regarding new PAC chairman but he did not respond in this regard.
