Summary In a high level meeting held in Islamabad it was decided to obtain finger prints of all prisoners.
A high level meeting to review security arrangements in prisons across the country was held in Islamabad. The meeting was chaired by the Interior Minister Rehman Malik and also attended by interiors secretaries of four provinces, IG Police, IG Prisons, and officials of FC and Rangers.It was revealed in the meeting that prisoners with fake identity were present in the prisons and it was decided that the finger prints of all the prisoners will be obtained.It was also decided in the meeting that those prisoner who don’t possess CNIC will have to provide their identity.The committee further decided to confirm the finger prints of prisoners, involved in terrorist activities, from the NADRA records.
