Summary No decision regarding Nato supplies restoration has been made in Defence Cabinet Committee meeting.
While chairing a meeting of the Defence Cabinet Committee in Islamabad, Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani said that there would be no compromise on nuclear deterrents. He said that that review of Pakistan ties with the US is outstanding progress.Gilani vowed that no progress would be made with Nato and Isaf without clear position of the Parliament.The Committee reviewed Pak-US affairs and other issues in details particularly on-going rescue operation at Gayari.All the three heads of armed forces, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Khalid Shamim Waen, Director General Military Operations Major Gen Ashfaq Nadeem and DG ISI Lieutenant Gen Zaheerul Islam were also present.At the outset‚ the meeting offered prayers for safety of those trapped under avalanche in Giyari. It also prayed for success of the rescue operation.
