Summary Defence of Pakistan Council has announced it would resist restoration of Nato supply at all costs.

Addressing a rally in Peshawar, Maulana Sami-ul-Haq, the chief of DPC, said that the government should step down because it has failed to stop drone attacks. He said the ouster of the current government is warranted by the announcement made by the US that there would be no cessation of drone strikes. He said that the US has preemptively thrown in the government’s face the parliament’s likely decision of demanding a halt to drones. He said now the government should either withdraw its recommendation of restoration of Nato supply or step down. The maulana said that countrywide protests would be staged from April 30.Speaking on the occasion, Jamat-ud-Dawa chief Hafiz Saeed Ahmed said that the Americans and the Indians have joined hands to carry out their nefarious designs in Balochistan. He said all Pakistanis would have to set aside their political differences and get together for national unity.Hamid Gul, Liaquat Baloch and other DPC leaders addressed the gathering.
