Summary Electricity shortfall has reached 4,400MW despite the four-day long energy conference.
According to Pepco officials, the electricity consumption is 14,619MW while the production is 10,219MW with a difference of 44,00MW.The Pepco officials further told that 2,704MW are produced from water resources, 1,690MW from thermal and 5,825MW from IPPs projects.680MW of electricity is being supplied to KESC at the moment. The officials also told that nine hours of load shedding is being carried out in urban areas while people residing in rural areas have to bear 12 hours of load shedding.
