The seven-member bench of the Supreme Court headed by Justice Nasirul Mulk resumed hearing of contempt case against Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani today.During case proceedings, former attorney general Maulvi Anwarul Haq requested the honorable court to relieve him from prosecutor’s charge in the case, thus, Irfan Qadir waspermitted by the court to act as a prosecutor in the case while being given two days to start his arguments.The apex court rejected the plea of newly appointed Attorney General of Pakistan Irfan Qadir to take up pending cases first instead of contempt case aginstPM Gilani.During the course of the proceedings, Aitzaz Ahsan also indicated he might sue a particular media group for damages for misreporting.
