Summary Strike against transfers of Young Doctors Association (YDA) continues on the 2nd consecutive day.
The strike has been called against the directives of Punjab health department to transfer 45 postgraduate trainee doctors (PGRs) and medical officers (MOs)of services hospital.The Young Doctors Association immediately announced the strike without consulting to any government representative.Due to the ongoing strike, patients are facing difficulties as the outdoor patient departments (OPDs) of most government hospitals are closed. The patients lament that they are being deprived of their basic right to healthcare.
