Summary LHC seeks reply from Punjab govt over appointment of VCs and principals in government institutions.
The Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) filed the petition in Lahore High Court stating that the appointment of principalsand vice chancellors in government hospitals and colleges is not based on merit. The petition stated the deserved candidates are overlooked due to the discrimination and preferential treatment by the Punjab government.Admitting the petition for hearing, the judge sought an explanation from Punjab government and health secretary till May 7.The petition was heard by Lahore High Court Justice Umer Ata Bandial.
