Lahore High Court (LHC) has served a notice to Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) seeking an explanation for scheduling by-election before 60 days.During the hearing, the petitioner said that the Chief Election Commissioner issued a schedule for conducting by-election in two constituencies of D.G. Khan before completing the time for new by-election. He said the CEC has taken an illegal and unconstitutional step. The judge issued a notice to the Chief Election Commissioner and approved the petition for further proceeding.
