Summary Sindh High Court has issued notices to Sindh DG Rangers, IG Police and Home Minister for April 18.
The notices were issued over a plea filed by Rana Faiz-Ul Hassan against target killings in Karachi.The petition said that over 463 people have been killed in different incidents of target killings in last two months. However, the DG Ranger and IG Police have failed to maintain law and order despite having all powers.The petitioner asked the court to remove both officials from the office while Sindh government should be notified to take effective steps to restore peace in the city.The division bench that heard the petition comprised Justice Maqbool Baqir and Justice Muhammad Shafi Siddiqi.Rana Faiz-Ul Hassan is a civil right campaigner who had been submitting petitions in Sindh High Court over the alarming situation in Karachi.
