NRO Case: SC verdict against PM on April 16

Summary Supreme Court has said that verdict on NRO Implementation Case would be announced on April 16.

Seven-member bench headed by Justice Nasirul Mulk conducted hearing of the NRO implementation Case.The Attorney General argued that it is impossible to follow the court orders on NRO Implementation Case as Contempt of Court Case is already under hearing.He requested that court that the NRO case should be delayed until and unless the Contempt of Court Case is under hearing.Justice Nasirul Mulk said that the Prime Minister could not be held free from NRO case on the basis that contempt of court case is under process.Justice Afzal Ijaz said that writing letter to Swiss government is mandatory; if the Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani doesn’t follows court order, new action of contempt of court is possible against him.Justice Ather Saeed said that judicial review petition regarding NRO case has already has been rejected; therefore, writing letter to Swiss government is obligatory.Justice Asif Saeed Khosa said that the court is to review that either the Prime Minister committed contempt of the court or not.The Supreme Court said that detailed judgment would be announced on April 16 in this regard.
