Summary Supreme Court has sought report on implementation on court order 2007 regarding Lal Mosque issue.
Three-member bench headed by Chief justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry conducted hearing of Lal Mosque case. The counsel for victims’ heirs, Iftikhar Gilani, requested that Quran and dead bodies were defaced during military operation against Lal Mosque.So the court should issue orders to register case against then president Parvaiz Musharraf and other military officers.Chief Justice, while passing his remarks, said that if petitions have some grudge, they should register an FIR against Musharraf and his companions.Maulan Abdul Aziz also appeared in the court and requested that parliament should be ordered for implementation of Islamic law in the country.After listening preliminary hearing, the court has ordered Islamabad police and Executive to submit record in the court on next hearing on April 25.
