Karachi: Eight held in Mangoo Peer operation

A search operation against criminals and extortionists is being carried out in Mangoo Peer area of Karachi. Police and Rangers are jointly conducting the operation.Police have arrested a suspect from the area. However, he was released later after investigation.The locals alleged that the operation is not being launched where criminal hideouts exist but only targeting the residential areas as an eyewash.Unknown persons pelted stones on media vehicles which were covering the operation.The Special Investigation Unit of the police have arrested eight extortionists and drug sellers from different areas of the city.
