Summary NAB has rejected Sheikh Muhammad Afzal's Rs 3 billion plea bargain deal in Bank of Punjab loan case.

The Executive Board of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) meeting was chaired by Chairman NAB Adm (R) Fasih Bokhari.The Board rejected the plea bargain offer of Rs 3.077 billion made by Sheikh Muhammad Afzal in the Bank of Punjab case and decided to re-determine the plea bargain amounts as the principal amount borrowed by them from the bank was Rs. 8.404 billion.Meanwhile, the Board approved the voluntary return of Rs 98 million by Justice (retd) Malik Qayyum in the plot case.
