Summary Shortfall of electric power has crossed by 6000 MW in the country.
While PEPCO is of the view that shortfall of power is just 4000 MW.According to PEPCO officials, main reason behind shortage of electricity is scarcity of water in Tarbela and Mangla Dams. Snow on heights of mountains is yet in freezing condition which is causing dearth of water in dams.According to sources, rural areas are facing loadshedding for 5-5 hours while urban areas for 3-3 hours.
