Summary PM has ordered action against bandits in Balochistan who are creating law and order situation.
The order was passed in Federal Cabinet meeting that also agreed to Polish demands on investigation of killings of a Polish engineer.Polish engineer was killed in Darra Adam Khel three years ago and Poland had cancelled defence agreement with Pakistan.The cabinet expressed concern over law and order situation in Balochistan, noting that bandits hold sway in many areas. Asadullah Zehri said that there is rule of bandits from Zhob to Taftan and Chaman.Prime Minister Gilani ordered Interior Minister Rehman Malik to take action against bandits and launch action in this regard.The cabinet on Wednesday decided that Polish demand of joint investigation will be accepted.The Polish government had asked Pakistan to sign a legal agreement, comprising 22 provisions, under which Pakistan and Poland will jointly launch a search operation to find killers of a Polish engineer Piotr Stanezk.Dunya News had acquired the documents regarding the agreement that was presented before the cabinet.Poland had threatened that in case of disagreement, it will favour India for trade in European markets instead of Pakistan.A Polish engineer, who came to Pakistan for assistance in drilling for oil and gas, was abducted by Taliban leader Qari Hussain on September 28, 2008. The then Taliban chief Baitullah Mehsud also tried to get the abducted Polish citizen for the release of his arrested accomplices. However, Qari Hussain did not agree with Baitullah Mehsud and killed the Polish engineer in February 2009.
