Summary PML-N Senator Ishaq Dar has been appointed opposition leader in upper house of parliament.
As per details, 17 members of the PML-N and 7 of the JUI-F favoured him. No other senator submitted documents for competition.PML-N Senator Ishaq Dar moved his application in the chamber of Senate Chairman Nayyar Hussain Bukhari. The JUI-F also wrote a letter to the Chairman and said that all the seven senators of the JUI-F favoured Ishaq Dar as opposition leader in the Senate.After this, number of Senators favouring Ishaq has become 24.Last time Ishaq Dar had submitted his documents in the Senate for opposition leader but former Chairman Farooq H Naek nominated Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Hydri of JUI-F due to numerical majority.
