Lahore: UET wall collapse kills student

According to details, a dilapidated wall of University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore collapsed due to rain on Monday night, killing a student.The UET students staged a protest on the death of their fellow and blocked the Grand Trunk Road for four hours, resulting in piling up of traffic on the road.The students called off their protest after assurance from PML-N leader Zaeem Qadree and vice chancellor Gen (retd) Akran Khan that investigation into the incident will be completed within 24 hours.Meanwhile, the teachers and students of the UET will boycott classes today in protest against the incident.
