Aslam Gill lost elections for Senate seat on PPP ticket for Punjab. However, the PM said that some parliamentarians meted out unjust treatment to Gill, and he deserved to be compensated in the shape of appointment as special adviser.The PM also said that those who did not vote for the PPP candidate Aslam Gill in fact betrayed Benazir Bhutto.The PM made the announcement of Gill’s appointment at a function in Mirpur, AJK. The PM also announced that an international airport would be built in Mirpur to facilitate the local population.He said the amount would be allocated for Mirpur airport in the next budget.Earlier, the PM inaugurated Miran Shah bridge.
