BAHAWALPUR (Dunya News) - The number of suspected monkeypox cases in Bahawalpur has increased after two more patients tested positive at Bahawal Victoria Hospital, bringing the total number of admitted patients to four.
Hospital sources confirmed that two of the patients belong to the same family, while the remaining two are from different households.
All four patients have been shifted to an isolation ward at Bahawal Victoria Hospital, where they are receiving medical care under strict monitoring.
Health authorities said samples from the patients’ families are also being collected to assess possible transmission and contain any further spread of the virus.
