Summary GoP is starting legal action against writer and publisher for their unprofessional behavior
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Punjab government on Thursday termed the statement attributed to Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar in Dawn’s article as absolutely rubbish, baseless and fake.
The Punjab government’s twitter handle made the announcement saying, “It is sad and unfortunate that in these testing times some people find the opportunity to publish their imagination as news. Statement attributed to CM Punjab in @dawn.com s article is absolutely rubbish, baseless & fake.”

It further said that, “GoP is starting legal action against writer and publisher for their irresponsible and unprofessional behavior and we also urge #APNS and regulatory bodies to take strict action, as we cannot allow anyone to create panic and push their ulterior agendas in these testing times.”

Earlier, the local newspaper in its report claimed that a few days ago Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar received a detailed briefing on coronavirus from relevant experts and officials. The purpose was to provide him all the information he required as the chief executive of the largest province, so he could make the right decisions. At the end of the briefing, the chief minister asked a question innocently: “Yeh corona kaat-ta kaisay hai? (how does this corona bite)?”
