Summary Actress Qudsia Ali said women deprived of parental affection during childhood may mistake temporary affection for genuine love due to emotional insecurity and low self-worth.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Emerging Pakistani actress Qudsia Ali has said that women who grow up without receiving adequate love and affection from their parents may become emotionally insecure and mistake temporary affection for genuine love.
Speaking in a recent magazine interview alongside actor Abbas Ashraf, both actors shared their views on the attitudes and behaviour of men and women in today's society.
During the conversation, Abbas Ashraf said he believes arrogance and a sense of superiority among some men often stem from the way they are raised by their parents.
He said many parents make their sons feel they are superior to others, the true heirs of the family and entitled to greater rights. According to Abbas Ashraf, parents should raise sons and daughters equally if they want to prevent their sons from developing narcissistic or self-centred personalities.
Responding to a question about why some women neglect their own well-being in relationships, Qudsia Ali said many women who are deprived of parental love during childhood become vulnerable to emotional insecurity.
She said that when such women receive even a small amount of affection, they may tolerate unhealthy behaviour and accept temporary love as genuine because they are seeking emotional security.
Qudsia Ali also revealed that she had experienced feelings of insecurity in the past but worked on herself over time to overcome them and improve her personality.
