International Jewelry & Watch Show 2011 opened in Abu Dhabi, capital of United Arab Emirates (UAE), presenting the worlds most expensive and fashionable jewelries and watches to visitors.The five-day show, held in Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center, has attracted jewelers and timepiece producers from 16 countries around the world.Among the exhibits is the worlds most valuable handbag - the Mouawads 1001 Nights Purse, made of 18K gold and inlaid with 4,517 diamonds totaling 381.92 carats in weight. They include 4,356 colorless diamonds, 105 golden diamonds and 56 pink diamonds. This 3.8 million dollar worth handbag cost ten craftsmen 8,800 hours to finish and was nominated the most expensive handbag in the world by Guinness World Records in 2010.To match the immense value of precious stones, jewelers have racked their brains to achieve unique and signature designs. For example, the Romance Collection of GoldenDesign Jewelry from Brazil recreated a brilliant garden of Brazilian gems of different colors decorated by flowers and butterflies.Gold, pearl, crystal and other commonly seen gems were also widely used to adapt to a broad consumer base. There are many exquisite and exaggerated designs to attract the eyeball of women from Middles East.Luxury watches are part of the show as well, and many world famous brands paid particularly attention to the uniqueness of their products.Visitors to the exhibition can not only enjoy the fashionable design of the jewelries and watches but also purchase some of the exhibits at prices 40 to 50 percent off the market quotes.
