Summary Baby dolphins Diego, Doerte and Darwin make their first public appearance at Germany's Duisburg zoo.
Three baby dolphins are the star attraction of Germanys Duisburg zoo. The three dolphins named Diego, Doerte and Darwin were born in late summer to three different mothers. According to the zoo the birth of the animals was a very rare occurrence.All three dolphin mothers are caring very well for their newborns and the zoo takes it as a sign that the grown-up dolphins are feeling comfortable at the dolphinarium. Duisburg zoo has already seen the birth of 7 dolphins.On Monday the dolphins made their first public appearance as they are now strong enough. Little dolphin Doerte seemed to be most outgoing one and took to the main pool while the others preferred to take their first public swims in the background.
