Twelve giant panda cubs born in 2011 have shown up at the Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding and Research Center of Southwest Chinas Sichuan Province during the National Day holidays.The 12 little pandas were nestling up against each other, fast asleep, as if nothing was happening around. One was yawning and puckering up its mouth as if complaining about being squeezed by its partners. Another one was stretching out its feet in dream. Still another was as if thinking about sucking the breast.One of the giant panda cubs looked much bigger than others. It was said that it was born on July 24, the eldest one among the 12. It now weighs more than 3.7 kilograms now, some 23 times its weight at birth.The newborns have kept the attendants busy all day long, taking weight and temperature and feeding. With 12 newborns, the center is now home to 108 giant pandas.
