Summary Indian Supreme Court asked Jha to make Uttar Pradesh chief secretary as party in the case.
Prakash Jha moved Supreme Court on Friday challenging the ban on his film ‘Aarakshan’ in Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh and Punjab.Jha’s counsel Ameet Naik said that the judge had asked us to make Uttar Pradesh Chief Secretary as party in the case.However, as the day wore on, it was clear that it was the viewers who had reservations going to theatres, fearing trouble. Jha failed to get interim relief to lift the ban on the film before its release. Andhra Pradesh and Punjab lifted the ban on the film but Uttar Pradesh continued to stay the release for three weeks.
