Bollywood actors and actresses including Sonu Sood, Sonam Kapoor and Lara Dutta sashayed down the ramp displaying intricate and chic designs at the concluding grand finale event of India International Jewellery week in Mumbai.An assortment of necklaces, earrings, bangles and other jewellery pieces, displayed at the event, revealed the fine craftsmanship of the Indian artisans.At the grand finale, designers Shane and Falguni Peacock showcased their designs.Dutta, who walked the ramp wearing an elegant necklace and white attire, said that even though her favourite piece of jewellery was the one worn at her wedding, she is still fond of collecting antique trinkets.I go for design I would have and something that is exclusive, something that is not readily available with everybody else and I love antique jewellery, so I collect quite a bit of that as well, she said.Kapoor walked the ramp for an international jewellery brand from Paris called Boucheron.She adorned a flowing red gown and a chic necklace, which was a collection of floral branches, intricately designed with rubies,diamonds and sapphires. The flowers on the necklace were designed to automatically open and close to give an ethereal look.Kapoor, who also happens to be the events brand ambassador, praised the Indian craftsmen for their mastery over detailed designing and said that her ensemble for the show was reminiscent of Shakespeares description of the Victorian era.The jewellery designs left the audiences mesmerised and craving for more.
