Summary The rock band has scrapped its US tour after front man Caleb Followill walked out of a gig.
A statement announcing the abandoned dates read that the singer was suffering from “vocal issues and exhaustion”.The Kings will resume their tour in Canada on September 28 but there are no plans to schedule additional dates.During Friday’s gig in Dallas, Caleb told the crowd he needed to go off and vomit and would be back – but he didn’t return.He said: “My voice is 100% completely wrong. I’m sorry. I’m about to fall down here because I’m so goddamn hot.“I’m gonna vomit. I’m gonna drink a beer and I’m gonna come back out here and I’m gonna play three more songs.”But Caleb, who is dating Victoria’s Secret model Lily Aldridge, didn’t reappear.Bassist brother Jared then wrote on Twitter: “There are internal sicknesses & problems that have needed to be addressed... Ican’t lie.“There are problems in our band bigger than not drinking enough Gatorade.”An official Kings of Leon statement said: “The band is devastated but in order to give the fans the shows they deserve they need to take this break. Unfortunately, the US dates cannot be rescheduled due to the band’s international tour schedule.“Tickets will be refunded at point of purchase”.
