18-year-old snapped pictures of the Beatles momentous first US concert were auctioned for over $360K.The Beatles played their first US concert at the Washington Coliseum on 11 February 1964. The pictures taken by Mike Mitchel who was just feet away from the stage are considered to be iconic today. The images, plus photos from another Beatles concert, have been estimated to fetch a total of $100,000. The shot in the pictures depict rare moment shared by Beatle’s with their fans. The concert was in a sports venue and the sound system was the sound system of a sports venue. There are only a few pictures of their first concert which made this auction rare and unique.Mitchell stored the negatives for years in a box in his basement. He used digital technology to do much better darkroom work that could ever have been done in a traditional darkroom.
