Fans waved and screamed outside the singers hotel. Lady Gaga has been on a worldwide promotional trail in a staggering array of colorful costumes, recently performing in Taiwan, Japan, and Singapore.Overall album sales rose 3.6 percent to 221.5 million units during the first half of 2011, the first increase since 2004. Lady Gagas single Born This Way has sold 1.5 million copies in just six weeks, with a record-breaking opening week when it sold 1.1 million copies.
