Summary Former WWE star Alberto Del Rio indicted for kidnapping, sexual assault

(Web Desk) - Former WWE wrestler Alberto Del Rio has been formally indicted in a kidnapping and sexual assault case. The 43-year-old man – whose real name is Jose Rodriguez Chucuan – has been handed a federal indictment by a grand jury following accusations made in May.

The Bexar County District Attorney’s office said: ‘Jose Rodriguez Chucuan is charged in a multi-count indictment. ‘The indictment alleges that on May 3, 2020, Chucuan committed one count of aggravated kidnapping and four counts of sexual assault.’

The Mexican-American wrestler’s case was listed in a press release with a separate and unrelated case.

The attorney’s office added: ‘Both cases are being prosecuted by the Family Violence Division in the 226th District Court. ‘Because these cases are pending trial, we can make no further comment on them.’
