Summary Latin America's top fashion event closes in Sao Paulo after top designers showcased their creations.
The 31st edition of Sao Paulo Fashion Week closed after Brazils most prominent designers showcased their upcoming spring-summer collections.Latin Americas biggest fashion event featured 31 parades throughout the week in a show of economic prosperity.One of the evenings highlights was the show by the Japanese-Brazilian designer Fernanda Yamamoto.Models wearing hats designed with dried leaves wore multicolored outfits, many of which were made with a new type of paper fabric that Yamamoto imported from Japan.She also used several images of the Japanese cartoon Hello Kitty on some outfits.Although Brazils fashion week organizers claim the event has become the worlds fifth most important, most experts say there is still some ground to cover.
