Summary Fourth death anniversary of classical singer Asad Amanat Ali Khan observed today.

Asad, who was born in famous Patiala family on September 25, 1952, was son of Ustad Amanat Ali Khan. Asad earned polularity in all forms of music including classical music, ghazals and film songs.He started his musical career performing “Thumri” and then sang some of his most popular Punjabi numbers and ghazals. One of the songs that featured in almost every concert he performed, arguably his biggest hit, was “Insha Ji Utho”.Asad worked for Radio Pakistan and Pakistan Television for several years. Asad Amanat Ali Khan died relatively young of heart attack on April 8, 2007 in London.
