(Web Desk) – Renowned Pashto singer and stage actress Resham Khan has on Wednesday been shot dead in cold blood by her husband in Nowshera district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, said police in a statement.
As per details garnered, the killer has been identified as Fawad and he killed his wife over a domestic dispute.
Earlier in February this year, a female singer Sumbal was shot dead over her refusal to attend a private gathering.
This latest incident is one of many acts of violence against female singers and actresses in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Data compiled by non-government organization stated that it was 20th such act of violence against the weaker gender in KPK this year.
