A UK screenwriter has decided to take a legal action in an attempt to stop Disney officials against releasing animated film Cars.He alleged that the company had stolen the movies concept from his work in the 1990s. Jake Mandeville-Anthony has filed a lawsuit against studio chiefs at Disney and Pixar, claiming the 2006 box office hit is based on two screenplays which he submitted to a number of production companies back in 1993. He allegedly created Cookie & Co., based on the experiences of real life racing driver Michael Owen Perkins, and a second screenplay called Cars, which included animated car character descriptions and sketches.
