CJP seeks reply from artists over airing Indian content on national channels

Summary CJP inquired about the morning shows' content that what type of culture they are endorsing.

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar on Saturday has summoned written reply from Pakistani artists over the Indian content being aired on national entertainment channels.

CJP was hearing a case in Karachi SC’s registry related to the broadcasting of arch rival India’s content on local channels. He asked why don’t our entertainment channels promote Sindhi, Balochi and other cultures of Pakistan.

He also inquired about the morning shows’ content that what type of culture they are endorsing.

Such inappropriate award shows are being aired on channels which are not acceptable in Muslim society,
Mian Saqib Nisar remarked.

He further asked that can we allow our daughters, sisters to wear such indecent clothes that Pakistani models wear.
