Summary The King's Speech was the big winner at the BAFTA awards. The award show was hosted in London at the royal opera house on Sunday. Several Hollywood actors were also in attendance at the awards. Critics believe that the movie may reign again at Hollywood's Academy Awards in two weeks' time.

Colin firth won the best actor award for playing the role of King George who is overcoming his fear of public speaking. He battles to overcome a stammer with the help of an unconventional speech therapist. On the other hand, Natalie Portman won the best actress award the movie Black Swan.. This was the only award won by the movie from 12 nominations.Leonardo DiCaprio’s film ‘Inception’ and the movie based on Facebook ‘The Social Network’ won three awards each. Colin firth and Natalie Portman won the awards for the best actor awards.
