The dress was sold out three times, first after the official engagement photographs were released in November, then twice at the beginning of the month when they were sold online, then twice when they were resold online again at the end of January. Copies of the dress, which retails for 310 dollars in the US and 159 pounds in Britain, were being resold on eBay for up to triple the price.
