Aakrosh premiered in Delhi

The producer, director and star cast of the Bollywood film 'Aakrosh' promoted their new flick at New Delhi. 'Aakrosh' meaning anger is a movie based on the issue of honour killings. The film is produced by Kumar Mangat under the Banner of Big Screen Entertainment and directed by well-known director Priyadarshan. The film boasts of Ajay Devgan, Bipasha Basu, Akshay Khanna, Paresh Rawal, Amita Pathak and Reema Sen in the prime roles.Sameera Reddy and Urvashi Sharma give a special appearance. Aakrosh revolves around the serious issue of honour killing in India, often reported from the north Indian states of Haryana and Uttar Pradesh.The film is an action thriller and delves deep into the socio-political problems of the Indian society. It has reflected the recent incidents of murder of young lovers and newly wed couples by family members, as their relationships were not considered appropriate, according to certain traditional and orthodox beliefs. Hundreds of such couples are reportedly killed every year in India in the name of family honour.
